Tinsel, Treats and Trolleys Festival

The Tinsel, Treats and Trolleys Festival, this one-night event is a family fun night. The night kicks off with carolers at the Covered Bridge and the lighting of the bridge.

There are trolley rides through the Village of Ada. The Covered Bridge is a Historical Location that stretches across the Thornapple River.

Christmas Lights and Fun

The ride takes you past Santa’s Workshop where there is a photo opt with Santa. The trolley ride also includes stops at a toy making workshop, story time with Mrs. Claus and Iditarod sled dogs.

Live music will fill the streets. There will be bonfires, hot chocolate, crafts and treats for children at various businesses along with shopping discounts. The city of Ada has over 50 business and restaurants participating in the evening events. The whole event is free.

Christmas Lights around Ada

Participating stores of Ada have a window competition. The Festival of Trees, which is new this year, takes place in Legacy Park that is along the Thornapple River.

Local businesses have sponsored 30 trees as a part of the festival. The Festival of Trees will run from December 2nd to January 1st, so if that weekend doesn’t work for you, there will be more time to see the trees.
